I was trying to figure out when you took those pics, but it looks sweet as hell outside. I have only seen it lately parked in the garage... just like its big brother Roush. Laughing

And I'm sure this box of parts you are waiting for won't be the last ones you need.

And now for a set of tags, inspection, and emissions testing. Maybe we can classify this somehow as a Farm "Truck" to bypass emissions testing...

They were taken last monday night out in the backyard. Other people caught in the act were Josh W, Chris B, Chris R, and Liz. I have the center caps in the garage somewhere, they will go back on shortly.

I like your idea Tom with the Farm tags. I need to investigate the whole street rod thing.

Found this on the MVA FAQ Section while I was looking for something unrelated.

Quote:
Does my vehicle qualify for historic or street rod plates?

Historic:

    · The vehicle is 25 calendar years or older and has not been substantially altered, remodeled, or remanufactured from its original construction, or
    · The vehicle is between 20 and 24 model years old and is a model, of which the manufacturer produced 1,000 or fewer models for that year, as verified by the manufacturer (supporting documentation required). The vehicle has not been substantially altered, remodeled or remanufactured from its original construction, or
    · The vehicle is between 20 and 24 model years old and is a make that the manufacturer no longer produces, as verified by the manufacturer (supporting documentation required). It is not substantially altered, remodeled or remanufactured from it original construction.

Street Rod:

    · The vehicle is 25 years old or older and has been substantially altered from the manufacturer's original design.

Vehicles classified as historic or street rod certify the vehicle will be maintained for use in exhibitions, club activities, parades, tours, occasional transportation and similar uses. The vehicle owner further certifies the vehicle will not be used for general daily transportation or primarily for the transportation of passengers or property on highways. You will need to fill out the Application for Historic or Street Rod Registration (form # VR-096) and supply all necessary documentation.

This link had the link to the form that they require you fill out.

Well I have a good stock tip for everyone. Meguairs stock should go up this week as much of their product that I used this weekend.

Spent all weekend getting the car cleaned up. Just about ready for TAGS!

List of what was accomplished:

2 weeks ago after the car came back Tom helped scrape all old primer off the windows.

This weekend Josh vacuumed the rear hatch area.

Installed head unit and speakers, nothing fancy, just to have some noise.

Saturday Chris B located the much needed window moldings, now attached to the car.

Chris B also supplied the speciality tools to change out the power steering pump so it wasn't spraying all over the new paint.

Sunday I spent 13 hours cleaning, scrubbing, polishing, etc.
Only found $2.82 in change under the seats, not quite enough to pay for the job!

Thanks to everyone who has helped out over the past few weeks. Exclamation Exclamation

Sidenote: Pay no attention to the missing foglight....I am still looking for a stock harness to wire in. Forgot to put it in for the pictures. Shocked

Well Hot Damn, the 'Ol Girl cleans up reeeeeeal nice now doesn't she? Cool

Great work on the cleanup and the pics look great. Did the new fog lights that you ordered from 50resto mount right up to those stock brackets? And did I read that right about having the window mouldings... all around?

Yup they look like OEM factory fogs and match up perfectly.

We have moldings all around, I should have gotten some better pics of them. I will do that today. They were still a bitch to get off even with the right tool. Chris fought with them for a good hour. Perfection takes time, he didn't bend one of them! Shocked

Wow Steve that cleaned up real nice. So glad that the car is coming together nice. Looks much ebtter then it did in grey ghost form. Do you happen to have any pictures of the engine bay. I guess soon it will be time to set up a picture gallery for the car. What else do you need to complete before you can get it tagged... Keep up the good work. Thumbs Up

Looks fantastic! Now you'll have a Mustang for car weekend in the fall! From the pics it looks great, but I'm sure it will look even better in person. Good luck on Friday getting the once over and then after that getting through inspection. Can't wait for a ride in it!

I just noticed in some of the pictures that on the door jams it looks like a bit of red is still peeping through. Did he not paint the door jams that great or something. Also In the one picture it looks like there is some paint on the tail lights. Are these still the old tail lights that were orginally on the car. Oh well it still looks great and I cant wait to go cruizing with you in it. Hopefully all of the inspection and tag stuff goes good. This car has been off the road way to damn long.... Cheers
