I think I remember reading an article saying there is a competitor to blu-ray...HD(High Density) DVD. Looks like there might be another format war, recalling DVD +/- R from a few years back. _________________ 2000 Trans Am WS6, 1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4, 2003 Yamaha YZF-R6

Damn I still havent used my DVD burner to its fullest capabilities yet, and I get to deal with a new format coming out. hmmm. I do like the capacity of the discs though, very nice stuff.
I'm not sure about yoou guys, but I have had burned CDs for longer than 5 years and they still work. I mean, its not like I leave them in the blistering sun, but it sounds like this guy is a spokesman for magnetic data storage. Plus, who has magnetic backup in their homes anyways? Well, I do, but thats besides the point, I also have a PBX in my house, IP Phones, and a home built TiVo. But, for the normal user, magnetic tape is just not practical.
