Hell I figgured I would post these pictures for Josh since he claims to be to computer iliterate and cant do it himself...
Anyways this weekend we finally got around to modifying his custom sub box that was in his old gti. Damn never realized that the floor pan in the .:R sat up that much higher. It is close to about 5 inches different to clear the suspension components for the AWD. Anyways onto the pictures...

The car is dirty, this is what happens to us who have to deal with salt on the roads...
Set up how it looked in the old GTI
Got to have the proper tools to get the job done
Side panels modified and recovered
Test fitting old box with about 5 inches cut from the bottom of it
Test fitting of newly created box, side panels and false floor
Finished Product... Amp, Phatbox (VW Digital mp3 player hard wired to the head unit), Wiring & EIP Spare Tire all hidden under flase floor
The whole system is preasure fitted, nothing is bolted down the whole thing holds it self together. Very tight fit, took alot of sanding and grinding the sides of the compnents down. Either the wood expanded after sitting for a year or the width of the .:R32's trunk is smaller (which I doubt). Also about 5" had to be trimmed off the bottom of the old sub box to get it to fit in right. This was tricky to get straight but after carful measurements we got it done. Try using a circular saw to cut a straight line around a square box not easy. Regardless after about 8-10 hours of modification we got it all hooked up and fit in.
Cost of Project $18
10$ for 2 new terminals for the sub box old ones were too big and couldnt get them to work right.
8$ for some spray adhesive to glue the carpet down.
If he has to get to the spare, he folds the rear seats down, pulls the false floor out and rocks the sub box back on top of his rear seats.
Also finally installed his door lock delete. Thanks Mike Keys for the hook up on paint for this...
No more key hole on the drivers door. The actual mechinicm broke after the accident with the deer. He finally got the new lock cylinder in but wanted to go for a clean shaven look. This mod is completely reversable in about 5 minutes so it isnt a huge deal. The only functionality that is lost by this other then not being able to use a physical key to unlock the door is he was able to open and close his windows by turning the key in the cylinder. To solve this problem there is a mod for about 60$ you can get your key FOB to open and close the windows by pressing different combinations of lock and unlock.
Ahh busy weekend working on the .:R... Next up is getting the Mustang to pass Emissions by the end of March, need to replace some O2 sensors and my Mass Air Flow sensor and I am hoping that is it..

Ah, the Wolfenhagens have a new home. And that shit is tight, both that it looks nice as hell and "like a seventh grader."
And I was trying to figure out where the keyhole was on the drivers door, then I realized it was the small piece right behind the handle, so no body work involved.
Where did you wire in those subs? The stock amp or another one? How does that all tie into the existing wiring.

The subs are powered by their own 1200 watt or something like that Wolfenhagen amp. It is hidden under the false floor. That amp is getting its signal via the stock amp in the car, not rca outs on the back of the head unit. Not what a profesional would do but since he wanted to keep the stock head unit for the time being it was the only solution.
Yeah the key hole was orginally right behind the handel there. And you are right no body work other then paint involved. So it is completely reversable. The passanger door doesnt have the key hole so the piece is actually the piece for the passanger door just flipped upside down so it fits the drivers door.
Yeah I agree Josh is deffinatly playing up his computer illeteracy...
